Subtitles & Language settings for Windows Media Player?

Hey Guys, I am trying to watch/set Windows media player to visualize subtitles in my native language. I put the downloaded .srt file toghether with .avi file but It shows/visualizes strange funny symbols instead of our cyrillic alphabet. I also tried to change windows media player settings ( Audio and Language tracks %26amp; Lyrics, Captions and Subtitles) I set everything in my language but It still shows the strange symbols) Do I need to change any settings in Windows Vista or what else I need to change in the Vista settings to make it working. What about Real Player? How can I load subtitles there and convert it in my language? THANK YOUSubtitles %26amp; Language settings for Windows Media Player?

Yes you can. Go to control panel. When you get there click CLOCK, LANGUAGE, AND REGION. After that on the next page click REGIONAL AND LANGUAGE OPTIONS. When you do that a window will pop-up. On that make sure that you are on the FORMATS tab. On the screen it will say CURRENT FORMAT and click on the thing under that and you can get whatever language you want.

haven't actually tried itHow do i change the language of my windows xp home edition (japanese version) to english language.?
If you are talking about the input language, you can add any language you want using %26quot;Regional and Language Options%26quot; icon in the Control Panel (I have an English version so I do not know what it looks like in Japanese one, but I%26quot;m sure you can find something similar). Choose %26quot;Start%26quot;-%26gt;Run, type %26quot;control intl.cpl%26quot;, and hit enter. You'll get ti the right place regardless of the language.

If you want to change the Windows interface itself, you will need to get an English version of Windows XP as the English language pack for Windows XP does not exist..
