How do I change settings like language and duration of clips in Windows Movie Maker?

Hi! I downloaded (as in I don't have an original CD that I can re run on my PC) Windows Movie Maker for Windows XP and the version is in French. I don't know how to change this, or where to download an English version of this program. I've been to the Microsoft page and I couldn't find a clear download link, and perhaps someone could point me towards a direct download link to download an English version for free. But my main problem is this:

Since I couldn't find a solution by myself to change the language, I decided to keep it anyway since I had used it before and I knew where the basic stuff is. The problem is that when I export a video file, it appears chopped in smaller clips of around 10 seconds. I've tried with different videos (the original duration of said videos was 20 minutes, some others were 40 minutes long), but the program keeps chopping it into smaller chunks. Any help?

Thanks in advance! :)How do I change settings like language and duration of clips in Windows Movie Maker?
You have to download english version.

Windows Movie Maker 2.0 (XP) and Windows Movie Maker 2.6 (Vista)

As for change photo duration, just hang mouse over photo and when red arrow appears, click and drag to adjust duration. Or go to Tools/Options/Advanced to change the default duration for imported photos.
