So my dad made his computer Chinese Traditional, but then he moved back to Hong Kong, and the only computer I have in my house [that has internet access, btw =='] is my dad's chinese computer. Sad, I know.

I put the downloaded .srt file toghether with .avi file but It shows/visualizes strange funny symbols instead of our cyrillic alphabet. If you are talking about the input language, you can add any language you want using %26quot;Regional and Language Options%26quot; icon in the Control Panel (I have an English version so I do not know what it looks like in Japanese one, but I%26quot;m sure you can find something similar). Choose %26quot;Start%26quot;-%26gt;Run, type %26quot;control intl.cpl%26quot;, and hit enter. You'll get ti the right place regardless of the language.

Unless you have the Enterprise Edition or Ultimate then a language change is not available without a complete reload of the OS using a language specific DVD. You can install LIP packs but these change the base language so the Headings are in an alternate language but they are not great. Hi, for Windows XP you can install language packs on top of English XP, but you cannot install English on top of international XP versions. They changed it for Vista so that you can do what you want, but not XP.

Did you try the task master(Ctrl Alt Delete)? You shold be able to get to everything from there. It may take a lot of trial and error if you are as illiterate as me, but should work!

You have to go to the top of the application, on the ribbon button, click it, in the menu that appears go to the right bottom corner, there you will have Word Options, in there go to the customize tab, where you will find a left and a right column.



At the top of the left column select the drop down list and and choose %26quot;Commands Not in the Ribbon%26quot;, now go down in the list and find Language, select it and click add, click ok, and tadaaa... :) you will have the language option in the top left.



By the way, you can't use the check spelling function for the spanish language unless you don't have Microsoft Proofing Tools installed.

You have the reset your Keyboard Language download Dutch for Windows (under update custom update not express look for add ones etc.) once you done that set your computer to Dutch keyboard input and settings then MSN, why bother if you can do it in english you still can write Dutch words, look up the keyboard codes(ASCII) for symbols and use them for umlauts like ue oe ae, 脛,脛眉,脛眉枚, go to the Character Map (acessories then system tools) eithe right the extra symbols by looking up the keycode or copy and paste.

go to your windows update and click on restore hidden update, there should be alot of different languages you should be able to download from there.

1. Click on Start button, then go to Control Panel.

3. In Category view, click on Clock, Language, and Region link, and then click on Change display language link under “Region and Language” section.

4. Under “Display language” section, choose a display language from the list of installed language packs.

Note: If no list of display languages is shown, make sure that you have installed additional language packs as the list will only applicable if there is more than 1 display languages available in supported editions of Windows 7.

5. Click Apply.



The system’s user interface is now been converted and switched to new display language selected. Logout and login again or restart computer to see the change. Note that the new display language is applied for existing user account only, but not to text on welcome screen and system reserved accounts, nor set as the default display language for new user accounts create in future.



To change the display language in Windows 7 welcome screen and special reserved system accounts used by Windows services (local system, local service, and network service), and set the current display language as the setting for new user created, continue with steps below. It will also set current display set as the display language for users who haven’t specified a display language.



1. In the “Region and Language” dialog window, click on Administrative tab.

2. Under “Welcome screen and new user accounts” section, click on Copy settings button.

The thing is, pre sp3, there s a windows patch , which changes the language, letters and all that to English directly. I bought this pc in Japan, and it was already sp3 installed, so I cant use that pre sp3 patch.

Go back to control panel to where you were open Regional and language where it says French click on the check mark there you should be able to change language, hope this will work for you. jr
