You need to install the operating system all over again, you can change the setting on your control panel, regional and language settings, but it won't change the windows language, the operating system needs the system files that only a fresh operating system install can give.(of course english version). How could I change the default language of my computer from Japanese to English without reinstalling a new OS?

Try this: To make the languages that you want to use for editing available in Word, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, point to Programs (or point to All Programs if you are running Microsoft Windows XP), point to Microsoft Office Tools, and then click Microsoft Office XP Language Settings.
NOTE: If this is the first time that you use the Microsoft Office XP Language Settings Tool, insert your Office XP compact disc (CD) into your CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive when you are prompted.
2. Click the Enabled Languages tab.
3. In the Available Languages list, click the languages that you want to add, and then click Add.
NOTE: If (limited support) is displayed next to a language in the Available Languages list, you may need to install additional system support for that language. The available support depends on your operating system.
The languages that you add are displayed in the Enabled Languages list.
4. Click OK.
5. If you are currently running any Microsoft Office programs, you receive the following message:
To use the new language settings, you must quit and restart all open Office applications.

I went to my Microsoft Help and Support Tab, and it brought up this. You need to go to your control panel first. Mine happens to be on the desktop, but if it's not, go into your %26quot;Start%26quot; button located on the bottom left of the computer. Go into %26quot;Settings%26quot;. You should be able to find the control panel and click onto it. When you find the control panel you push the button that says something like %26quot;regional and language options or settings%26quot;. You will click onto it. You will get a gray dialogue box which should say somewhere in the top %26quot;current settings%26quot;. You'll need to pull the menu down, and choose the language you want. When you're done, and you have the right language setting, click %26quot;Ok%26quot;. See if these steps work. It should. If your gray dialogue box says %26quot;Spanish%26quot;, then you'll know you are in the right place to change it. Hopefully this will help you. I have a Microsoft Windows Vista 2007, so I'm not sure what your program is. But if you make sure everything is changed over to English, then you should be ok.How can i change the language from spanish to english on Microsoft Word??????
I do not believe Microsoft Word has that ability. Use Google Translate. Link to it is in the source.
